Annette Marner is a poet and photographer based in South Australia’s magnificent Flinders Ranges, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world.

Her creative work is inspired by her love for the wildlife and landscapes of South Australia.

As a poet and photographer, I seek to create new visuals beyond the scope of the human eye, to open our hearts to the beauty and uniqueness of the natural world.

She has won the Bank SA Poetry Prize, the Unpublished Manuscript Award for Friendly Street/Wakefield Press, and has been published in Best Australian Poems (Black Inc).

In 2013, she graduated with a Ph.D in Creative Writing from Flinders University.

Women with Their Faces on Fire is her award-winning collection of poetry.
